Most websites open with a cookie banner. This one does not, because there is nothing to ask about: the site sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser, and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking. This notice explains that, describes the one exception our host may make for security, and tells you how to control cookies in your browser.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep, and to send back with later requests, so that the site can recognise the browser or remember a setting. Similar techniques, such as local storage, keep information in the browser without a cookie. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are "first-party"; cookies set by another domain through that site are "third-party", and are the usual means of tracking people across the web.
What this site does
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no first-party cookies and uses no local storage, session storage or similar technique. The search box, the filters and the menus run in your browser and remember nothing between visits, not even the language you chose: each edition is simply a different address.
The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, videos, maps or social media buttons. The fonts and images are served from this site's own domain, so no other company learns that you have visited by serving them. There is no analytics service, no advertising and no tracking pixel.
Because nothing on the site needs your consent, the site shows no cookie banner. Where the rules of the European Union on electronic communications apply, strictly necessary cookies are the only kind that may be set without consent, and this site sets none at all.
The one exception: our host's security cookies
The site is served through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., which stands between the site and the internet and protects it from automated abuse. When Cloudflare's systems need to tell a person from a bot, they may set a security cookie on the site's domain. These cookies are strictly necessary, are set only when protection is needed, contain nothing beyond a random identifier, and are not used to follow you to other sites.

Controlling cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you see the cookies it holds, delete them, and block cookies from particular sites or from all sites. The settings are under "Privacy" or "Privacy and security" in the browser's preferences, and the browser maker's help pages explain them for the version you use.
If you block Cloudflare's security cookies, the site still works; you may simply see a security check more often.
If this changes
If the firm ever adds something to the site that sets a cookie or stores information in your browser for a purpose that needs consent, such as analytics, it will update this notice, describe the cookie here, and ask for your consent before the cookie is set. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
